I’m very much enjoying Bridget Christie’s idiosyncratic comedy – a mix of folkloric oddity and savvy gender politics – and it appears to have attracted a very strong cast indeed. Jim Howick , Jerome Flynn and Motherland ‘s Tanya Moodie are just a few, while particularly enjoyable is Paul Whitehouse’s lascivious Tony, who this week gets to make his annual “trouser reveal” (don’t ask) at the town council meeting. That meeting then takes on a more serious turn when Linda (Christie) reveals an imminent threat to the forest.
